Pamela Ryckman is an Emmy-winning producer and writer with a focus on women in the workforce.

She is the author of CANDACE PERT: Genius, Greed, and Madness in the World of Science (Hachette, 2023), a biography of the maverick scientist whose visionary research led to both the opioid crisis and the mind-body revolution. Pert’s personal story forms a launchpad to discuss the most pressing issues plaguing science and healthcare today. Ryckman’s first book, STILETTO NETWORK: Inside the Women’s Power Circles That Are Changing the Face of Business (HarperCollins Leadership, 2013), presaged #MeToo, infiltrating a secret society of the world’s most powerful women and uncovering an underground movement of women's networking circles shaping society.

She has written for The New York Times, Financial Times, and Washington Post, among other publications. She has also been featured widely in the press, appearing on The TODAY Show, Rock Center with Brian Williams, Good Day New York, Bloomberg TV, and MSNBC, as well as in The Chicago Tribune, New York Post, Forbes, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Inc., and Entrepreneur.

Additionally, Ryckman consults for global corporations. With Tina Brown and Credit Suisse, she launched Women of Impact to find solutions to intractable problems facing women in business. With Shaquille O’Neal and Credit Suisse, she launched Momentum: Black Men’s Leadership Retreat to focus on job creation and economic empowerment in the Black community.

Early in her career, Ryckman held strategy roles in the equities divisions of Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch. She earned her A.B. in Comparative Literature from Princeton University and her M.A. in Journalism from NYU.
